Music Exclusives: Washington, D.C. Emcee Lightshow Tags Super producer Zubin For Single “Still Like Drugs”
Capitalizing off his noteworthy performance at this year’s Broccoli City Festival during fellow DMV emcee Wale’s set, as well as having the privilege of throwing the Washington Nationals First Pitch, Lightshow delivers the follow up to “Last Night.” Titled “Still Like Drugs” and serving as the 2nd official drop from his soon to be released quarantine-crafted 10th studio album When Disaster Strikes alongside executive producer Zubin, who is currently making waves with the Coi Leray and YungManny collaboration “Givenchy,” the song is an auto-tune infused Summer soundscape that will instantly make you book a flight to anywhere near clearwater and palm trees.
“This record (‘SLD’) is the first single we recorded during the WDS session, and it set the tone and direction for the rest of the project. All the music Light and I would forever hold a special place in my heart. This was the first time I could direct everything from the beat production, to track listing to artwork, and everything in-between as the executive producer,” says Zubin in a press statement about how the song came about.
